The adult female humpback after her first antibiotic injection on 5/26/07. The syringe remained after the injection, but later fell out on its own. The cow received a total of 3 injections, and the calf received 1, to deliver the appropriate dose of the antibiotic. Photo by Bob Wilson, The Marine Mammal Center.
