NOAA CRC6 is presently involved with a restoration effort for the Swan Lake system. No connection between the Texas City Turning basin & Swan Lake exists. The 2 features are separated by a leveed discharge canal and the Snake Island (shoal point) dredge material management area. See attached 1995 aerial photo clip (JPG) from the restoration GIS.
